What is Lava Shells massage?
Lava Shells massage is rare to find in France. It uses real shells that are prepared for use as self-heating massage tools. Once activated, the shells remain warm throughout the session.
The heat is produced by a mineral powder placed inside each shell and activated by adding water. This creates continuous warmth without electricity or a heating device. The self-heating shells allow continuous warmth and contact throughout the massage.
The massage follows a specific protocol that is an integral part of the experience. It always includes a deep abdominal massage. The face is not massaged as part of the protocol.
The shells used are real tiger clam shells sourced from the South Pacific. No shells are taken from live clams for this purpose. Instead, the shells are repurposed as massage tools after the clams have been consumed. The shells would otherwise be discarded. They are cleaned, polished and prepared for use as massage tools.
The refills contain natural minerals and are biodegradable and non-toxic.
The massage is performed using oil, on a heated massage table. Your body remains covered with a sheet throughout the session, with only the area being massaged uncovered.
